After our son was born and we found out he had a long road ahead of him, I bought him an Amber necklace. He was diagnosed with SMALED2 and a few other things mixed right in there. His old necklace has been though his teething, a tendon surgery on both feet, casting and bracing of his hands feet and legs, and gosh who knows what other painful things he dealt with. And this kid was a trooper. We had no issues with him teething it was so much smoother than his older brother and sister, shots never really gave much of an issue, and the other countless things he has been though. IT WORKED!! A few months ago I noticed his necklace was missing beads and had a few broken ones so I knew it was time to get him a new one. The last one he had, which was a polished Amber was no longer available but we found Baltic Proud we bought him a 12.5 inch and though it is smaller than his last we like it and how it looks on him. We just put it on him today when it arrived so I cant say weather its better worse or the same as the other necklace but this one seems more pure so I have high hopes in it. I also took his old necklace and turned it in to a bracelet for my self so we will still have it around. The only down fall of this necklace that I dont like is the clasp. His last one was a twist close and this is a pop close, which he has already ripped off his neck (scared me because I though he broke the string) But over all at this time I am happy with the purchase.
